I am taking the spring and summer to produce my next series of paintings, establish a venue for showing them, promote the sale of my note cards, and initiate my blog.   Another fun summer!

I hope to have an exhibition in the fall.  Check back for new work!

The Maine show in August, and the December show at bb Bistro in West Annapolis were milestones of inspiration and validation.   Venturing into acrylics and abstracts simultaneously was freeing and symbolic of a new chapter of my life.  While I love painting in oils and still do, the invitation acrylics emanate in terms of timing and color is impossible for me to ignore.  Completing an entire series of abstracts was like going to that home in my mind that I always imagined.  It has brought me to the edge of yet another creative chapter and new series of paintings, which is a blending of the representational and abstract.   Thank you 2009 - you have reminded me that there are always more "firsts" to experience in life.

AUGUST, 2009:  The group exhibition (myself, Joyce Reynolds of Annapolis, MD and Lynn Griffiths Conley of No. Carolina and Rangely, Maine) on August 7th at the spectacular home of Luanne Pachios in Scarborough, Maine was a great success!   About 60+ people attended the show outside in Luanne's exceptional pool and garden setting - it seemed as though it were made for showing art.  Of course, if you know Luanne, then you know any event at her house is going to be fabulous!  The weather was sunny and perfect.   There is likely to be another show next year, so stay tuned.  I have to say, if you want to travel to the coast of Maine, August is the time to do it!    

DECEMBER, 2009: The show at the bb Bistro in December - again with my good friend Joyce Reynolds- produced yet another joyful opening of fun, friends, and appreciation.  A great way to end the year!
