Abstract Commissions

If you see a painting on my site and it is already sold, or you would like a different size, I can create something just for you. It will be similar, but not an exact copy; it will be an original guided by input from you from progress shots, because it is a collaborative process. This video shows the creation of a painting commissioned as a larger version of "Floating", a painting in my Expressions series.

Pet Portraits

I love painting pet portraits! I like the meet the animal, and then we will select four or five photographs for reference. Then we decide on the style (head or body), background (beach? bed?) and colors. See Sir Kensington to the right - a happy dog! In this case, the photo showed darker hair on his muzzle, which is actually very light, which is why it is important to have several references. I'm delighted the owners - and Kenzie -- love the painting! Which is top priority of course :)

How it Works

Commissions usually take about 6 to 8 weeks from the time we sign the contract ,depending upon your vision and potentially a little longer for really large works. We start with your style preference and color palette and touch base along the way. A 50% deposit is required to get started on your painting, after we've figured out the details.
